My work is a continuous effort of innovative cultural documentation with an emphasis on the very media through which the work is influenced, created, and transmitted. Starting in the 1950s media theorist Marshall McLuhan held that "media are an extension of our selves." If this is true, and I believe it to be, we can further his theory, and posit that "the self can be a medium in turn". This ongoing process of life witnessed (documented) "through the eyes" of various new media is what I refer to as The Quantumedia Experiment™.

Mine is an ontological perspective on the concept of "life as art". My work, then, is a philosophical pursuit of the fundamental unit of the life energy we know, that of electro- magnetism at the quantum level. A poetics of experience. The veritably abstract. Works that fall into such a category are not necessarily individualized creative works of any particular medium, nor are they the medium itself, as McLuhan also held in his widely popularized theory "the medium is the message"...but, perhaps, the event of life itself as the work of art.

The Dalai Lama and Desmond Tutu in My Front Yard "The Dalai Lama and Desmond Tutu in My Front Yard" QUANTUMEDIA FILMS MOTION PICTURE PODCAST
The Dalai Lama and Desmond Tutu in My Front Yard is a snap shot of the world political, moral and spiritual leaders exiting their limousines and entering the performing arts building at the University of Denver for the Peace Jam Festival. The film incorporates a "grassy knoll" perspective, including the repertoire of the common citizen taking a secondarily visual, removed roll in celebrity life.

Heros + Influences "Beethoven's Effects" 12-09-2005 QUANTUMEDIA FILMS MOTION PICTURE PODCAST
Beethoven's Effects is a cacophony of visual residue set to the timing of Beethoven's 9th Symphony. The short film uses the daily monotony of the average classroom as the setting. The media used is redundant and packaged and delivers a humorous tone in the end.

The Bucks Ad "The Bucks Ad" 03-03-2006 QUANTUMEDIA FILMS MOTION PICTURE PODCAST
The Bucks Ad is a short, experimental mock television commercial that emphasizes the monotonous ordinarity of TV today. The boring text, charted above even more mundane visuals brings to the forefront the necessity to insert shocking imagery, not excluding the draw of women making out in their underwear with other women...in their underwear.

Heros + Influences "Heros + Influences" 02-19-2006 QUANTUMEDIA FILMS MOTION PICTURE PODCAST
Heros + Influences is a short film exploring the literary starlets, subjects, and settings which have made an impression on the author over the past ten years. The use of the historically tame American musical "Wintertime" is used in juxstaposition to the raw and usually somewhat unkempt nature of the visual.
